INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) reminds taxpayers that the 2019 individual tax filing deadline is today. Federal tax returns are also due at this time.
DOR Commissioner Adam Krupp says, “Customers can file electronically to receive a quicker refund if one is due, or they can file a paper return.”
Paper tax returns require a postmarked date no later than 11:59 p.m. today, to be considered on time. Electronic filing can be submitted online anytime today, including through the Indiana freefile program (INfreefile).
INfreefile offers qualified individuals, with an adjusted gross income of $66,000 or less in 2018, several options for filing both their state and federal taxes for free. Qualifications for INfreefile can be found online at www.freefile.dor.in.gov.
For additional information, call DOR Customer Service today before 4:30 p.m., at 317-232-2240.
