GREENWOOD, Ind. — A Greenwood woman recently received a hoax call from someone claiming to be with the IRS.
The scammer alleges the victim is being sued for money she owed. The call came from the number 509-643-7740.
The Indiana Attorney General’s Office says the IRS scam is the most common telephone scam in Indiana.
