COLUMBUS, Ind. — The family of a 27-year-old man who was struck by a car has launched an online fundraiser.
Benjamin Taylor was a victim of a hit-and-run in the 1200 block of 13th Street in Columbus Dec. 28. The suspected driver was charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving serious bodily injury.
Taylor suffered brain injuries, a broken leg and wrist, a fractured eye socket and a bruised lung. He remains hospitalized at a rehabilitation center in Indianapolis.
“He was working at Sherwin Williams and was going to Ivy Tech Community College full time,” his mother Christine Taylor said. “He had plans of transferring to IUPUI to pursue a motor sports engineering degree. So, he had a lot to look forward to.”
Christine Taylor launched a Go Fund Me account to help with medical and travel expenses to visit her son. Find out how to help by clicking here.
