GREENWOOD, Ind. — State Rep. John Price (R-Greenwood) will not seek another term in the Indiana House of Representatives.
The small business owner was elected as the District 47 representative in 2012. Price has served on the local government, financial institutions and veterans affairs committees in the House.
“It’s bittersweet that I am not seeking re-election again. This is my 40th year in public service, and I have been very blessed and humbled to serve the residents of Johnson County,” Price said. “I have a personal business opportunity, and it was a decision my wife and I thought was best at this time.”
Prior to serving as a state lawmaker, Price was seated on the Johnson County Board of Commissions and the Johnson County Council.
“I will miss the General Assembly and the people I served, but I will still live in the community and be a big part of it,” Price commented.
