COLUMBUS, Ind. — The American Heart Association will deliver 75 red caps to Columbus Regional Health Thursday. The hats will be given to all newborns during the month of February.
Volunteers from across Indiana knitted more than 5,000 hats that will be used in 44 hospitals in the state.
The Little Hats, Big Hearts program raises awareness about heart disease and congenital heart defects, the most common type of birth defect in the country.
