SHELBYVILLE, Ind. — Charges will not be filed against Shelbyville officers involved in a September 2015 shooting.
Jerrald Wright, 56, was fatally wounded after a nine-hour standoff with police at his home in the 800 block of West Washington Street, Shelbyville.
Prosecutors declined to file charges Thursday saying Wright intended to kill police and the response by officers was reasonable and necessary.
