GREENWOOD, Ind. — Thieves have hit a Greenwood subdivision for the second time in one week.
Several burglaries were reported early Friday morning on Gainesway Drive in the Wakefield subdivision.
Stolen items include purses, wallets, credit cards and cash.
One victim told police his credit cards were missing and had been used at four Speedway locations in Greenwood and Indianapolis. Surveillance photos at the gas station show the suspects buying gift cards.
Another victim found a clock, softball bat, sunglasses and reading glasses on the ground near his vehicle, which he did not own.
“We need anyone who had items taken out of their vehicle or garage or homes to call and make a report.,” said Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox. “We need to know who owns the clock, baseball bat and reading glasses.”
A female was taken in for questioning Sunday morning.
“The thefts and apprehension of the female on Sunday morning are in the same addition, on the same street and in one case was a victim from a few nights before.,” Cox said.

Several vehicle break-ins occurred in the Wakefield subdivision on January 23.
