COLUMBUS, Ind. — Community members can take a daring dip into cold waters this weekend during the Polar Plunge.
The fundraiser benefits Special Olympics Indiana and takes place at The Commons from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Participants must raise a minimum of $75 to take the plunge and be at least 12 years of age. Those under 18 need parental consent.
The opportunity to avoid water by joining a virtual plunger team is also available.
Saturday’s forecast shows a chance of a rain and snow mix with temps reaching the mid 40s.
