Deputies spotted the southbound vehicle around 4:30 a.m. near State Road 252. The suspected vehicle was slowed by semi traffic near mile marker 78 and attempted to pass the trucks.
Police clocked the vehicle from 101 mph to 134 mph before pulling the car over.
The driver, Demarcus Williams, 21, of Indianapolis, allegedly refused to get out of the vehicle upon police orders. When he did, he began walking away onto the shoulder of the road, police said.
