COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department will host a youth camp for children ages 6-14 in June.
Kids will get an opportunity to gain insight into the everyday functions and training of local law enforcement.
The curriculum will include daily drills, hands on learning and demonstrations from specialized units such as water rescue and scuba, the bomb squad, SWAT and K-9.
There will be a two-day camp June 2-3 for those ages 6 to 9 and a four-day camp June 7-10 for those ages 10 to 14. Cost for the two-day camp is $25 per child, and the four-day camp is $35 per child.
