FRANKLIN, Ind. — The city of Franklin is remodeling a vacant building at 351 E. Jefferson St. to create new office space.
City engineers and contractors will work in the building during the upcoming road construction projects on East Jefferson and King streets.
“It’s been vacant for 35 to 40 years, if not longer, so we saw an opportunity here to take one of those blighted buildings and inject some life back into it,” said Franklin Mayor Joe McGuinness.
Once the road project is completed, the city plans to sell the remodeled building to attract a new business to the area.
