WASHINGTON, D.C. — A U.S. Senator from Indiana is endorsing Republican nominee Marco Rubio for president.
Dan Coats (R-Ind.) said the Florida senator is the best candidate to unite the party and earn support from independents.
“It is clear to me that Marco Rubio is that candidate,” Coats said, “He has all the qualities needed to unite our fractured nation and address the major domestic and foreign policy challenges that confront America because of Barack Obama’s failed leadership.”
Joe Donnelly (D-Ind.) has yet to endorse a candidate.
