COLUMBUS, Ind. – The city of Columbus will have to restart the consultant selection process for Rocky Ford Road improvements. It follows an investigation by the Indiana Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration.
The investigation showed certain processes were not followed when selecting a consultant. INDOT did not explain what those processes were.
In a letter addressed to former Mayor Kristen Brown, INDOT said the correct processes were not followed during her administration and the current administration.
The city will have to restart the process in order to be eligible for approximately $544,000 in federal funding. Proposals are due March 9.
