COLUMBUS, Ind. — A local man is facing charges after a disturbance at a Columbus convenience store Sunday.
Police responded to Jack’s Place in the 900 block of Third Street after employees said a drunk man was screaming at the clerk and smacking the cashier partition.
Police located Joseph E. Richardson, 40, of Columbus, a few blocks away. Officers allege Richardson began threatening the cops when they spoke with him. He later struggled with officers when they attempted to take him into custody, police said.
Richardson was booked into the Bartholomew County Jail on charges of resisting law enforcement, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
