COLUMBUS, INDIANA — Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation board members are considering a measure that would protect LGBT students.
The current district policy has recognized members of the LGBT community since 2013. Existing policies provide protection during educational activities and programs. The proposal would be in effect if actions affected the corporation environment.
Superintendent Dr. John Quick says the changes are not significant and largely mandated at the state level.
