COLUMBUS, Ind. — Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Brown County man after a chase Wednesday morning.
An officer attempted a traffic stop on a car driven by Thomas Brockman, 43, of Nashville. Brockman continued onto Dam Road and Old Nashville Road with police in pursuit. The driver proceeded to State Road 46 and finally stopped. Brockman then barricaded himself in the vehicle and threatened to harm himself. The incident ended when deputies broke a window and allowed a canine officer to enter the vehicle.
Brockman has been charged with auto theft, resisting law enforcement, driving while suspended, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving.
