NASHVILLE, Ind. — A Carmel man was bitten by a copperhead snake in Brown County State Park over the weekend.
Reports indicate that Nan Zhang, 35, was walking to the public shower when the snake bit him on one of his toes. Zhang was transported to Columbus Regional Health and was reported in stable condition.
Other campers in the area located and killed the snake.
Sources from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources say bites from copperheads and rattle snakes are rare.
