GREENWOOD, Ind. — Police believe a body found in a Greenwood home is that of a suspect in a recent child abuse case in Johnson County.
Deputies were called to the 700 block of Restin Road at 4 p.m. Monday by neighbors who told police that normal activities were not taking place at that residence. When deputies entered the home they smelled what appeared to be a decomposing body.
After obtaining a search warrant and calling investigators, police entered the home and found what they believed to the body of Willian Brenner, 49, in the hallway. Brenner had been living in the home since his mother passed away.
Evidence at the scene suggests Brenner may have had a medical episode.
Brenner was a suspect in child molesting investigation involving a six-year-old boy.
