GREENWOOD, Ind. — Road rage may have contributed to a Johnson County crash around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday on State Road 37 southbound near Bluff Road.
A car driven by Stephen Collins, 47, of Greenwood, was allegedly cut off by a car driven by Marisa Voisard, 19, of Marion, Ohio. Collins flashed his bright lights at the vehicle ahead, and in response, Voisard hit her breaks. Collins was unable to stop and struck the back of Voisard’s car. After the first collision, Voisard applied her breaks again and Collins struck the rear of her vehicle a second time. Voisard hit her breaks a third time and Collins did not attempt to avoid contact.
Voisard told deputies she applied her brakes the first time because a vehicle in front of her was braking. She said the other two times she hit her brakes was in order to get off the road because of the initial contact with Collins.
Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox says details about the incident are being forwarded to the prosecutor.
No injuries were reported.
