SEYMOUR, Ind. — The Schneck Cancer Center has earned the Outstanding Achievement Award from the American College of Surgeons’ Commission on Cancer. The honor recognizes cancer programs that provide the highest quality care in accordance with Commission on Cancer guidelines.
The program at Schneck was evaluated on 34 program standards in five categories: cancer committee leadership, cancer data management, clinical services, patient outcomes and data quality. Additionally, Schneck’s program was evaluated on seven commendation standards.
The purpose of the award is to motivate cancer programs to offer better quality care and encourage providers to share best practices.
