INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A Greenwood man has been sentenced in Marion County for his role in a December 2015 crash that killed Rogelio Legorreta, 59, Rebecca Rodriguez-Gomez, 52, and her 12-year-old daughter, Jasmine Alday-Rodriguez.
The court determined that on December 23, 2015, Connor Tomlinson, 21, accelerated from stoplight on South East Street to approximately 80 miles per hour. He lost control of his car in wet conditions and struck a median, before going airborne and crashing into the Legorreta vehicle.
Witnesses told police Tomlinson and a Corvette were both revving their engines before taking off from the stoplight.
Tomlinson was sentenced to five years in prison, three years of home detention, and six years of probation for three counts of reckless homicide.
