COLUMBUS, Ind. — Christmas will be here soon, and the U.S. Postal Service expects to deliver about 16.3 billion greeting cards and 740 million packages during the season. In order to get your holiday shipment delivered on time there are some deadlines to keep in mind.
To insure delivery by Christmas Day, regular mail must be submitted by December 15. The first class mail deadline is December 20. For priority mail, December 21 is the cut off, and the deadline for priority express deliveries is December 23.
Postal officials say mailing early is always the best option.
