GREENWOOD, Ind. — Greenwood police have made an arrest in connection with a recent fatal shooting.
Police say Karin Castro, 21, Roberto Wangerman, 28, Tania Chavez, 24, and a 17-year-old juvenile, all of Indianapolis, went to 509 North Meridian Street in order to carry out an attack on Felipe Zaragoza, 20, and his brother Jose Zaragoza, 24. During the confrontation, multiple shots were fired. Castro was shot multiple times and died later at an Indianapolis hospital. The 17-year-old juvenile was shot in the chest, and Felipe Zaragoza was shot in the leg.
Tania Chavez was arrested for auto theft and is being held.
Greenwood assistant police chief Matt Fillenwart says this remains an active investigation.
