COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department is looking for leads to help in identifying the two people that attempted a home invasion on Wednesday.
The female victim of the crime called 911 to report the incident around 2:45 p.m. She told police she found two people in her home, confronted the suspects, and after a brief scuffle with them, fired one shot in their direction as they were fleeing the property on County Road 675W. The victim was treated and released at Columbus Regional Health for injuries suffered during the altercation.
Police are looking for a blue or silver, older model Cadillac in which the two suspects fled the scene. If you have information about this crime, call 812-565-5924.
