SEYMOUR, Ind. — The United States Attorney and Seymour officials have announced the arrest of a suspect in a 18-year-old case of kidnapping and sexual assault.
Charley Hollin, 61, was recently taken into custody in Oregon and is accused of kidnapping and assaulting a 10-year-old Seymour girl in 1999. Police allege Hollin abducted the girl from the former location of Girls Inc., at knifepoint and sexually assaulted her on January 20, 1999. After the attack, police say he left the girl naked in the Cortland area.
Federal investigators say Hollin made a critical mistake when he applied for a passport. Facial recognition technology was used to make a positive identification. Hollin was taken into custody while working at a Walmart in Oregon.
Hollin was using the name and identity of Andrew David Hall, a boy who was killed in a traffic accident in the 1970s at the age of five.
