WASHINGTON D.C. — The Columbus North Marching band is ready for the big day this Friday, as they take part in the 58th Inauguration ceremony for the 45th President of the United States.
Wednesday, band members performed for members of the Inauguration Committee. The performance was preempted by President Obama’s final news conference. On Friday, the band members will begin preparations early in the morning, and be ready for the parade to step-off after the noon ceremony.
The 12-block parade route will begin at the steps of the U.S. Capitol Building and proceed to The White House. The weather forecast for parade time is cloudy, with a 70 percent chance of rain, and a temperature of 49 degrees.
The band members plan to take in the sights of Washington D.C. on Thursday and Saturday, and then return to Columbus sometime Sunday.
