NORTH VERNON, Ind. — Deputies from Jennings County made five arrests and confiscated drugs while investigating an overdose Tuesday.
When deputies and first responders arrived at the 3700 block of Shrimpton Drive in Country Squire Lakes, they found Sean Cobb, 36, of Columbus, suffering from an apparent overdose. Cobb was treated at a local hospital and then transported to the Jennings County Jail.
Police confiscated methamphetamine, digital scales, heroin and paraphernalia from the home. An 8-month-old child was taken into custody by the Indiana Department of Child Services. Police also arrested Brittany Watts, 22, of Columbus, and Curt Thornburgh, 34, Brandy McGuire, 29, and Phillip McGuire, 40, all of North Vernon.
