SOUTHPORT, Ind. — Indiana State Police believe road rage may have been the cause of a Friday morning crash that killed a Greenwood woman.
Reports indicate Tammy Hacker, 51, was northbound on Interstate 65, speeding away from a black car that was tailgating her. Hacker exited onto I-465 East and struck a slow-moving semi on the ramp.
Hacker was critically injured and managed to fight for her life until Monday morning, when she succumbed to her injuries. Her daughter was with her at the time and suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police investigators continue to investigate the accident.
