SEYMOUR, Ind. — Investigators say a Seymour man died from carbon monoxide poisoning following a house fire in the 100 block of East Harrison Drive.
Family members and first responders found Patrick Warinner, Jr., 69, unresponsive inside the home Friday around 6:45 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators found evidence that suggested the cause of the blaze may have been electrical and that it may have been smoldering for several hours. Warinner lived alone and did not have a working smoke detector in the home.
