HARTSVILLE, Ind. — The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department was able to rescue a dog from a Hartsville area pond on Friday morning.
Two dogs were swimming in the pond when they became stuck. The owner swam out and was able to retrieve one of the animals, but the other one remained stuck and was fighting to stay above water. An off-duty officer who is also a member of the water rescue team was able to respond and rescue the black Labrador retriever from the pond.
