GREENWOOD, Ind. — (Update at 7:40 a.m.) A Greenwood mother inadvertently backed over her 1-year old daughter on Thursday afternoon in the 4700 block of Walker Street. The child was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox reported Friday morning that the infant had passed away.
The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. when the mother was moving a vehicle so someone else could leave the residence. She submitted to a portable breath test for alcohol which was negative.
