PANAMA CITY, FL. — A Columbus man is facing charges after a road rage incident in Panama City, Florida.
Police reports say a car driven by Christopher Michael Keaton, 25, of Columbus, fired a shot in the air as a warning to another motorist near a major intersection. The other motorist had his wife and one-year-old child in the car. He fled to safe place to call 911.
Deputies used a helicopter to track down and arrest Keaton in the beach area on Thompson Drive. Police found the handgun and a spent shell casing in the car. Keaton has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and reckless discharge of firearm within 1,000-feet of a person, both felonies. He is being held in the Bay County Jail.
