COLUMBUS, Ind. — Three residents of Brooklyn, New York, are facing fraud charges after an incident in Columbus over the weekend.
Columbus Police were called to the Village Pantry in the 3100 block of Washington Street late Saturday night on the report of the suspicious males purchasing cartons of cigarettes. According to police records, officers questioned the men in the parking lot and smelled the strong odor of marijuana. After further investigation, the report says that police determined they were using fraudulent credit cards for their purchases, and law enforcement recovered several bogus cards from the vehicle.
Greggory Arzu, 21, was arrested for possession of a credit skimming device. Gregory Meade, 20, was arrested for possession of a credit card skimming device, false informing and fraud. Hamou Soumare, 21 was arrested for false informing, possession of marijuana, fraud and possession of a credit card skimmer.
This is an ongoing investigation.
