NORTH VERNON, Ind. — Officers from the Jennings County Sheriff’s Department and the North Vernon Police Department, along with area probation officers, arrested 33 adults and one juvenile during a 12-hour drug sweep last Thursday. Police searched 40 homes and made 13 traffic stops.
North Vernon Police Chief James Webster commented, “We are all consistently working to disrupt and dismantle the drug distribution channels in North Vernon and Jennings County. During this operation, all departments offered up a few members to come together with a focused purpose to locate and arrest offenders. This highly energized effort was obviously much needed.”
