Fortune 500 companies forge new partnership

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Columbus-based Cummins, Inc. and power management company Eaton have announced a new joint venture, that according to Cummins CEO Tom Linebarger, will create the most advanced automated transmissions in the marketplace. The automated transmissions are for heavy-duty and medium-duty commercial vehicles and under the terms of the joint venture, Cummins and Eaton will each own 50 percent.
