HARTSVILLE, Ind. – A 77-year-old Michigan man was killed after his plane crashed in rural Bartholomew County Wednesday afternoon. Rae Saegaert, of Shelby Township in Michigan, was piloting the Temco Swift single engine aircraft at a small grass airstrip near 200N in Hartsville, when it crashed after takeoff in a wooded area just before 1 p.m. Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers said that Saegaert was the only occupant of the plane and firefighters had to contain a small fuel leak from the plane.
