COLUMBUS, Ind. – A Columbus man is facing drug charges after a traffic stop Wednesday. According to a press release from the Columbus Police Department, officer Michael Butler noticed the driver, Christopher Battin, 31, was acting nervously. A police K9 responded and indicated the odor of narcotics in the vehicle. Officers searched the car and allegedly found an uncapped syringe and two burnt spoons that contained methamphetamine. Battin is being held on preliminary charges of possession of a legend drug device, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia.
