COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Police Department SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiators were called to a report of shots fired at Candlelight Mobile Home Park on Saturday afternoon. According to a press release from the Columbus Police Department, officers first responded to a report of a naked man shooting a shotgun on Bayberry Drive. A short time later they found a large hole in the home of David Valentine, 22. It appeared to officers that the gun was fired from inside the mobile home and damaged a neighboring home. Negotiators were able to make contact with Valentine, who exited his home and was taken into custody without further incident. He has been preliminarily charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
