COLUMBUS, Ind. – The announcement of a partnership between Dorel Juvenile Group and Walmart will create 60 new jobs for Columbus. At a conference yesterday, Dorel President and CEO Paul Powers said the current Walmart order is limited to 1.4 million car seats, but the jobs will be permanent. The average hourly rate for production workers at Dorel is $15 per hour. Powers added that they expect to start shipping the product by early 2018.
