SEYMOUR, Ind.–A Seymour man is being held without bond in Jackson County Jail after stealing electricity from his apartment complex. Authorities at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office say that the electricity in James Stafford’s apartment had been shut off, so he used an extension cord to power the residence from public hallway outlets owned by the apartment complex. Stafford, who was already in jail from a separate investigation, was charged with theft, criminal recklessness, and neglect of a dependent.
