Woman injured in Johnson Co. car accident

BARGERSVILLE, Ind.–A Greenwood woman was injured after her car ran off the road in Bargersville Tuesday evening. According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Katie Calvert, 21, was driving along state Road 144 when she ran off the road, overcorrected, and struck a fence. Calvert was trapped inside the vehicle until Bargersville firefighters were able to free her. She was taken to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital with head injuries. Investigators believe alcohol and distracted driving were factors in the crash.
