COLUMBUS, Ind.— Two people are in custody on burglary charges. Lt. Matt Harris of the Columbus Police Department says officers responded to a report of a suspicious activity around Storage Express on 15th Street early Wednesday morning. When they arrived, the officers found a large hole had been cut in the perimeter fence. A search of the property found 31-year-old Jeremiah Clark of Franklin and 30-year-old Cheryl Bailey of Edinburgh and it was determined that they had allegedly broken into one of the units after removing the locks. Both Clark and Bailey were transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on burglary and theft charges.
