COLUMBUS, Ind.—A Flat Rock woman is dead following an accident Sunday evening in northern Bartholomew County near St. Louis Crossing. Authorities at the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department say the fatal crash occurred at the intersection of North County Road 350E and East County Road 900N when 29-year-old Max Dyer of Hope allegedly entered the intersection and struck the vehicle of 51-year-old Venessia Emerick. Emerick was transported to Columbus Regional Health where she died of her injuries. The accident remains under investigation, but investigators say that occupants of both vehicles were wearing their seat belts.
