COLUMBUS, Ind.—A Franklin woman was arrested Monday evening after driving her car onto railroad tracks and parking it there. Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the intersection of County Road 550N and U.S. 31 where a vehicle was reported to be stationary on the railroad tracks. On arrival, deputies saw a southbound train was approaching the location. Railroad officials were contacted and the train was stopped well short of the car. The officers said the driver, identified as Jennifer Grimes, 39, was found to be impaired. Grimes was taken to the Bartholomew County Jail and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
