WHITE RIVER TOWNSHIP, Ind. — A shooting took place Tuesday evening in White River Township. According to Johnson County Sheriff Doug Cox, the shooting allegedly occurred in the 700 block of Leisure Lane. Officers responded to an argument between a husband and wife that ended when the gun went off and struck the woman. She was coherent and able to speak to deputies before being transported to Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital. Deputies are still interviewing the husband to determine what charges the man might face.
