FRANKLIN, Ind. — A New York woman was arrested after she allegedly hit a woman at a Franklin residence on Wednesday. According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, Jane Rogers, 62, was attempting to protect a man from an irate 43-year-old Brandelyn Abner. Rogers reportedly hit Abner in the face several times and also left scratches on Abner’s upper chest and arm. Abner supposedly did not hit the man nor Rogers. Rogers was taken to Johnson County Jail and charged with misdemeanor battery resulting in injury.
