COLUMBUS, Ind.–Columbus area residents said goodbye to Sgt. Jonathon Hunter with a public visitation and funeral on Saturday afternoon. The public event was held in the main gymnasium at Columbus East High School with thousands coming to pay their respects to the family. Sgt. Hunter was one of two American soldiers killed in Afghanistan on August 2. A motorcycle processional headed-up by the Patriot Guard Riders led Sgt. Hunter’s body to a private graveside service following the funeral.
