COLUMBUS, Ind.–The cast and crew of the film Columbus came to Yes Cinema last night to introduce the movie to the town that made quite the impression on them. Writer-director Kogonada says he was “blown away by the city because it fit the loose story ideas he had been having prior to writing the screenplay.” What was a hunch before turned into affirmation once he visited the city.
Leading man John Cho says that Columbus, both the movie and the town, made him realize that we are always affected by art, whether we realize it or not. He also added that “Columbus represents the best of American innovation and ingenuity along with a civic pride in taking care of one another.”
