COLUMBUS, Ind.–A three-vehicle accident blocked both lanes of State Road 11 near the Bartholomew-Jackson County Line on Friday afternoon. According to Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers, Alexander Royalty, 17, of Seymour, rear-ended a truck pulling a boat driven by Jared Shepherd, 32, of Seymour. This collision caused Royalty to cross the centerline, hitting Caleb Meadows, 26, of Bedford, head-on. Meadows was extricated from his vehicle and flown to University of Louisville Hospital, while Royalty was taken to a different hospital. Both occupants of the truck were uninjured.
