COLUMBUS, Ind.–A local man has died after his vehicle left the roadway and entered a west-side retention pond. The Columbus Fire Department says a witness saw Thomas Kedrowitz, 37, of Columbus, drive through a farm field and enter a retention pond behind the Walmart on Merchants Mile. It took crews several hours to pull the car from the pond and confirm that Kedrowitz was the sole occupant.
